The Opportunity
Our future Wire Harness Engineers will play a vital role in the design, testing, and optimization of wire harnesses and cable assemblies for our advanced robotic systems, including ANYmal, our autonomous legged robot. From collaborating across teams to ensuring compliance with industrial standards, this role involves:
- Designing and refining wire harnesses to ensure reliability, functionality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Testing and validating cable assemblies to meet performance and compliance requirements.
- Managing a robust cable database and standardizing design practices.
- Partnering with Product Development, R&D, and engineering teams to integrate solutions into broader robotic systems.
- This is a dynamic and impactful position for individuals with a passion for innovation and a foundation in wire harness engineering.

Our customers are large asset operators and industrial service providers pioneering the use of robotics technology for inspection and maintenance. Our mobile robot ANYmal uses legs for extreme mobility in complex environments, camera- and LIDAR-based sensing for full autonomy and obstacle avoidance, and AI for high-quality and consistent inspection results. We develop numerous customized hardware systems, including the entire robotic platform, actuators, sensors, inspection payloads, charging systems, and all related ANYbotics mechanical hardware.
Who Should Apply? We’d love to connect with you if you have:
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering fields
- Extensive experience in cable/wire harness design, testing, and compliance
- Familiarity with standards like IPC/WHMA-A-620, UL 758, and related certifications
- Experience with CAD systems for wire harness integration and layout
- Strong collaboration skills and a proactive problem-solving mindset
- Bonus points for experience with SolidWorks Electrical, EMC requirements, or creating and delivering training programs on cable design
