ANYbotics is a fast-growing tech company dedicated to shaping the future of mobile robotics across multiple industries. Join our highly talented and motivated team of more than 200+ people and work on cutting-edge robot technology.
The Opportunity
You’ll design and build synthetic-data pipelines and assets that produce realistic, labeled images (and masks, transcriptions, annotations) to accelerate model training and cover rare or dangerous scenarios we can’t collect cheaply in the field.
Market & Technology
ANYbotics transforms industrial plants in the (renewable) energy, process, and utility sector by introducing robotics to a wide range of novel applications that so far were beyond reach. Our mobile robot ANYmal uses legs for extreme mobility in complex environments, camera- and LIDAR-based sensing for full autonomy and obstacle avoidance, to perform jobs and deliver high-quality, consistent inspection results. We develop numerous customized hardware systems, including the entire robotic platform, actuators, sensors, inspection payloads, charging systems, and all related ANYbotics electrical hardware
About Us:
ANYbotics is a leading robotics company specializing in advanced autonomous systems. With a successful Series B financing round recently closed, we are poised for rapid growth and international expansion. Our mission is to revolutionize the robotics industry through cutting-edge technology and innovation. As we embark on this exciting journey, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced person to join our team and help us shape the future of autonomous robotic inspections.

Key responsibilities

  • Architect and implement reusable synthetic data generators for each core visual inspection task.
  • Create and curate an asset library (backgrounds, object crops, fonts, CAD/3D assets) and parameterized recipes for domain randomization (lighting, blur, occlusion, material).
  • Integrate synthetic generation into the dataset pipeline (consistent labels, formats like COCO / segmentation masks / text transcriptions); automate large-batch generation and metadata.
  • Validate synthetic realism and utility by running targeted ML experiments and iterating on generation parameters to reduce sim-to-real gap.
  • Implement privacy- and bias-aware generation practices; document generation configs and ensure reproducibility.
  • Collaborate closely with ML engineers and data engineers to surface data gaps (from telemetry or failure cases) and prioritize synthetic scenarios.

Minimum requirements

  • 3+ years experience building synthetic data pipelines or strong background in computer graphics + Python tooling.
  • Proficiency in Python and image processing (OpenCV, Pillow); experience with 3D pipelines (Blender scripting, Unity, or equivalent) is highly useful.
  • Experience with generative models (GANs, VAEs, diffusion) or commercial synthetic-data platforms (Synthia, Unity Perception, Rendered.ai).
  • Practical knowledge of augmentation and domain randomization techniques for vision (lighting, noise, geometric transforms).
  • Good ML literacy: able to run quick training/validation loops to measure synthetic data impact (PyTorch/TensorFlow).
  • Strong visual judgment and attention to detail for crafting realistic synthetic examples.

Optional requirements

  • Prior work in privacy-preserving synthetic data, fairness testing, or statistics-based validation of synthetic datasets.
  • Familiarity with asset pipelines (texture/material authoring) and camera/sensor simulation (exposure models, noise).
  • Experience producing domain-specific synthetic assets (industrial gauges, manufacturing defects, remote-sensing scenes).
We offer you a very exciting and dynamic work environment, the opportunity to become part of a fast-growing company and an ambitious team that is on a mission to change the industrial inspection market, a chance to leverage your experience and bring in your own ideas, a fair market salary, and an attractive employee stock ownership plan.
We’re an international robotics company with the A-team spread across the Globe. This role gives you the opportunity to be part of growing our EU presence while staying connected to our global team. To be eligible, you’ll need to have the legal right to live and work in Spain. Ideally you reside in Barcelona, or are open to relocate. This is not a remote position
