Senior Manager Product Structure & Systems (PLM/MES)
ANYbotics
The Opportunity
As the Senior Manager of Product Structure, PLM & MES, you are the architect of the digital backbone that connects our robotic innovations to real-world production. In this high-impact leadership role, you will strategically own the implementation and evolution of our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Manufacturing Execution (MES) systems and processes to scale with a rapidly growing product and manufacturing organization ("Digital Thread").
You will govern the product architecture for our complex mechatronic systems, ensuring that our Engineering BOM (EBOM), Manufacturing BOM (MBOM), and Service BOM (SBOM) are perfectly synchronized.
This is not just a systems role — it’s a business transformation mandate. You will define and execute the PLM and MES roadmap in collaboration with executive stakeholders, ensuring alignment between engineering, operations, product, and after-sales service functions. You’ll help us build an integrated, enterprise-grade ecosystem that accelerates product development, enables traceability, and scales product data excellence.
The Market & Our Technology
ANYbotics transforms industrial plants in the energy, process, and utility sector by introducing robotics to a wide range of novel applications that so far were beyond reach. Our customers are large asset operators and industrial service providers pioneering the use of robotics technology for inspection and maintenance. Our mobile robot ANYmal uses legs for extreme mobility in complex environments, camera- and LIDAR-based sensing for full autonomy and obstacle avoidance, and AI for high-quality and consistent inspection results. We develop numerous customized hardware systems, including the entire robotic platform, actuators, sensors, inspection payloads, charging systems, and all related ANYbotics mechanical hardware.
Your Impact
- Product Structure & Configuration Governance
- BOM Mastery: Define and govern multi-level BOM structures for complex robotic systems, ensuring alignment across Engineering, Manufacturing, and Service.
- Modular Architecture: Support platform-based development by managing product configurations, variants, and component reuse strategies.
- Data Standards: Enforce rigorous part-numbering schemes, revision control, and BOM rules to maintain 100% data integrity.
- PLM System Ownership & Digital Thread
- Platform Management: Own the strategic roadmap, implementation and functional administration of the PLM environment (e.g., Windchill, Teamcenter, CIM Database).
- System Integration: Manage the technical "Digital Thread" between CAD → PLM → ERP → MES, ensuring real-time synchronization of product and manufacturing data.
- Release Management: Oversee the lifecycle states, access controls, and workflows for all product releases and configuration baselines.
- MES & Manufacturing Data Integration
- Production Execution: Ensure the flawless transfer of product structures from PLM to the MES for production execution.
- Process Definition: Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to define production routings, assembly sequences, and digital work instructions in the MES.
- Traceability: Maintain "As-Built" traceability, ensuring consistency between MES production data and ERP production orders.
- Engineering Change (ECM) & Continuous Improvement
- Change Governance: Lead the Engineering Change Request (ECR) and Order (ECO) processes, ensuring controlled propagation of changes across all systems.
- Optimization: Drive continuous improvement in workflows to reduce NPI (New Product Introduction) cycle times and improve manufacturing scalability.
- Audit & Compliance: Conduct regular product data audits and implement corrective actions to ensure "Single Source of Truth" reliability.
