VP System Architecture
ANYbotics
The Opportunity
As VP of System Architecture, you will define the architectural direction for the next generation of ANYbotics robot platforms. You will shape how a shared modular foundation supports multiple robot variants, operational design domains, and future business models.
This is a senior, cross-functional role spanning the full technology spectrum, from AI and autonomy through hardware, software, mechatronics, functional safety, system integration, and factory industrialization. You will help determine how our robots evolve from strong individual products into a scalable family of platforms, balancing reuse, flexibility, performance, manufacturability, and long-term maintainability.
This role is not just about technical design. It is also about setting direction, driving alignment across teams, and helping the organisation make strong architectural decisions as we scale.
Market & Our Technology
ANYbotics is pioneering autonomous robotic platforms for industrial inspection and operations in challenging environments. From explosion-proof systems in oil and gas to agile robotic platforms for utilities and other industrial settings, our technology is built for environments where safety, reliability, and uptime are critical.
System Architecture is central to how we scale. The challenge is not only to build great robots, but to create the modular architecture, interfaces, and platform strategy that allow multiple variants to be derived from a shared core. This includes anticipating future customer needs, new domains, certification requirements, and external integrations such as fleet management, predictive maintenance, and digital twins.
With the right architecture in place, ANYbotics can move faster, reuse more effectively, and expand into new markets without rebuilding from scratch each time.
About us
ANYbotics is a leading robotics company specialising in advanced autonomous systems. With a successful Series B financing round closed and strong momentum in the market, we are entering an important phase of growth and international expansion.
Our mission is to transform industrial inspection and operations through world-class robotics. We combine deep robotics expertise with real customer deployments in demanding industrial environments. This is an opportunity to join at a stage where the technology is proven, the ambition is high, and the architectural decisions made now will have a major impact on the company’s future.
Your Contributions
Define and govern the reference system architecture across hardware and software domains focusing on modules interfaces
Build a modular platform strategy that enables multiple robot variants and operational domains to be derived from a shared architectural foundation
Drive architectural decisions on interfaces, middleware, data models, integration patterns, and the software backbone that supports future platform scaling
Define how reuse, configuration, and hardware-specific adaptation are handled so new variants can be developed without unnecessary redesign
Lead platform-level trade-offs across performance, agility, endurance, safety, manufacturability, and cost
Embed diagnostics, functional safety, cybersecurity, over-the-air updates, and certification requirements into the architecture from the outset
Partner with senior engineering leaders across software and hardware domains, and through the system engineering community to align on direction, influence execution, and translate long-term architecture into practical delivery
