As our (Senior) Lean Manufacturing & Assembly Engineer (m/f/d), you will play a key role in increasing assembly output, reducing lead times, improving OTIF, and lowering assembly costs across our production network. This is an individual contributor role with high strategic relevance: you will work hands-on with suppliers on the shop floor, drive measurable capacity improvements, and translate your learnings into EGYM standards for future assembly setups. Apply now and join our team in Munich!- Supplier Assembly Scaling: You analyze assembly processes at our global system suppliers, identify bottlenecks, and drive improvements to increase output, reduce lead times, and improve delivery reliability
- Lean Process Optimization: You apply Lean and Industrial Engineering methods to improve takt time, cycle time, material flow, workstation design, line balancing, and manpower utilization
- Assembly Cost Reduction: You translate process improvements into measurable reductions in manufacturing & assembly effort, labor cost, rework, and overall assembly cost
- EGYM Assembly Blueprint & Future Concepts: You capture learnings from supplier operations and translate them into scalable EGYM assembly standards, shaping future assembly concepts across Europe and North America, including partner-operated lines, pilot cells, and potential in-house assembly setups
- Standard Work & Documentation: You create and maintain process documentation, standard work, time studies, capacity models, layout concepts, and line balancing analyses
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: You work closely with Production, R&D, Procurement, Quality, Logistics, and supplier teams to turn technical and operational requirements into scalable assembly processes
- Shop Floor Execution: You lead hands-on improvement activities, Kaizen workshops, and structured problem-solving directly at supplier sites
Your fitness level
- Lean Manufacturing & Operational Excellence: You bring 7+ years of experience in Lean Manufacturing, assembly process optimization, line balancing, capacity planning, time studies, and continuous improvement initiatives, supported by strong knowledge of Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, Poka-Yoke, and structured root-cause analysis methods
- Assembly & Industrial Manufacturing Expertise: You have hands-on experience in complex assembly environments involving mechatronic products, machinery, automotive systems, industrial equipment, or comparable manufacturing operations
- Process Analysis & Improvement Methods: You are skilled in conducting structured time studies (e.g., REFA or MTM) and applying data-driven problem-solving approaches, with Six Sigma Green Belt certification or a comparable qualification considered an advantage
- Technical & Systems Competence: You can interpret technical drawings, understand BOM structures, analyze production and process data, and work confidently with ERP, MES, and production reporting systems
- Stakeholder Management & Execution: You combine strong analytical capabilities with a hands-on shop-floor mindset and can effectively influence suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders without direct disciplinary authority
- International Collaboration & Communication: You are fluent in German and English, with Spanish considered a plus, and are willing to travel regularly across Europe and occasionally to North America (ca. 60-70%)

- Product Understanding: You develop a strong understanding of products, assembly processes, supplier networks, and production strategies
- Supplier Assessments: You visit key suppliers and evaluate assembly performance, bottlenecks, and capacity improvement opportunities
Process Analysis: You create value stream maps, time studies, line balancing analyses, and capacity models - Relationship Building: You establish strong working relationships with internal departments and external supplier partners
