Team mission

As a Senior FICA Platform Accountant at GetYourGuide, you'll play a vital role in our Accounting Team. Reporting directly to the Head of Platform Accounting, your mission is clear: maintain top-notch and compliant accounting for the GetYourGuide Group. You'll work diligently to ensure accurate financial reporting, adhere to corporate policies and accounting standards, and provide timely information to our valued internal and external stakeholders.

You will:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly reports and contribute to the annual financial statements for GetYourGuide entities.
• Analytical Expertise: Dive into accounts and statements, delivering meticulous reconciliations according to month-end-close deadlines and on an ad-hoc basis. This includes handling mass data analysis and transaction reviews in the SAP FICA module.
• SAP FICA Module Management: Define and review mass accounting-related transactions in SAP, ensuring end-to-end (start to finish) process integrity. This role requires a strong capability to handle and analyze large volumes of data within SAP, providing insights and solutions for business process optimization.
• Ownership and Innovation: Lead accounting-related projects, including Business Process Designs and SAP S4/Hana System development, with a particular focus on leveraging the SAP FICA module for enhanced financial operations.
• Communication Hub: Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external inquiries regarding Accounting, Tax Accounting, and specific queries related to SAP FICA.
• Collaborative Partnerships: Collaborate with external stakeholders like auditors and tax consultants, ensuring seamless integration and functionality of the SAP FICA module within broader financial systems.

Who you are

• Excellent Communication: Possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Educational Foundation: A commercial training background, preferably as a tax clerk or accountant; a business degree is a bonus. Additional training or certification in SAP FICA is highly desirable.
• Financial Experience: A minimum of 5 years in the finance department of a medium-sized company, ideally within the e-commerce sector, with specific experience in managing SAP FICA or similar modules.
• Regulatory Know-How: Strong knowledge of the commercial code; familiarity with IFRS and group accounting is advantageous. Additional expertise in SAP FICA module regulations and compliance is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Excel in analytical tasks and demonstrate proficiency in MS Excel and SAP FICA. Ability to manage and analyze large sets of data is crucial.
• Language Prowess: Excellent English skills are a must, and German language skills are a valuable asset.
