Team mission
Our Group Reporting team is dedicated to delivering high-quality financial information to internal and external stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making. The Internal Control Analyst will report directly to the Internal Controls Manager and will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and reliability of our financial data through effective control activities and data management in the company business processes
You will:
- Assist with regular assessments of internal controls over financial reporting to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify areas of improvement and provide recommendations to enhance our control environment.
- Assist in creating and reviewing process documentation, including process flowcharts and risk and control matrices.
- Collaborate with control owners to facilitate effective data collection and reporting using Workiva (GRC software).
- Prepare detailed reports on control deficiencies and propose corrective actions.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and insights into control activities.
Who you are:
- Experience: Proven experience of 2-4 years in internal controls, SOX compliance, or audit functions, ideally within a large or multinational company.
- Educational Foundation: preferable but not limited to Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
- Regulatory Know-How: Strong understanding of financial and operational control procedures (IIA, SOX).
- Language Prowess: Excellent verbal and written communication in English is essential, and German language skills are a valuable asset.
- Systems knowledge: Proficiency using a large ERP system; experience with GRC suites and business process management tools is a plus.
- Work Ethic: Be an independent and structured worker while embracing teamwork and displaying reliable time management.
Please note this role will be based in Berlin office, therefore you must be based in Berlin or willing to relocate. We do also offer relocation support. We offer a hybrid working environment.
