We are looking for an experienced Staff level engineer for the data engineering team to take ownership of our centralized data warehouse (LDW) and empower data driven decisions across the company. As a Staff data engineer, you will be responsible for setting the technical direction and executing for Lime’s centralized data warehouse (LDW). As a senior member of the team, you will also be responsible for fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture, and for developing and mentoring team members to support their growth and development.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of success leading and driving large technical areas as a tech lead, and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. They will also have strong cross-functional collaboration skills with product managers, data scientists, finance, accounting, and operation teams to deliver high-quality data products and insights

What You'll Do:
- Drive and own architectural design strategies for the Lime’s data warehouse (LDW) Drive data engineering excellence and lead craftsmanship in building, testing, and optimizing ETL/feature/metric pipelines
- Take ownership in data compliance, access control and data governance requirements
- Define and implement the long term technology strategy and innovations roadmaps across data engineering areasIdentify existing data engineering areas that can be improved, propose better solutions, and drive implementation
- Work with PMs, Engineers, data scientists, operations, finance, accounting, and other cross functional teams to maintain the integrity of our data warehouse and data infrastructure
- Provide hands-on technical and execution leadership for data engineering teams
- Help build a strong engineering culture by partnering closely with the data engineering leadership
About You:
- Experience working with data modeling, data architecture design, and data pipelines
- Strong communication and have worked with cross functional teams such as Product, operations, Finance and accounting
- Experience working with big data technologies e.g Snowflake, Airflow, Kinesis, S3
- Experience working with batching and streaming data infrastructure
- Expert in SQL and high-level languages such as Python, Java or Scala
- Experience leading design reviews and has actively participated in design reviews of related software
- Experience influencing a team’s technical and business strategy by making insightful contributions to team priorities and approaches
- 6+ years experience in Software engineering with a focus in data
- Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
The anticipated salary range for this position is $168,00.00 - $225,000.00. Equity and benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, depending on the position offered. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications as well as the candidate's location of residence. In addition to base salary, some roles may be eligible for a variable bonus based on a combination of company performance, employee performance, and management discretion.
