What you'll be doing day to day:

  • Partner with Marketing Operations, Product Marketing, Customer Marketing, Content, and Creative to drive event experiences aligned with the marketing team's strategy, objectives, targets and KPIs
  • Cross collaboration across departments outside of marketing (sales, channel teams) to holistically understand needs and goals from events perspective and prioritize annual events calendar
  • Own operations including, but not limited to, agenda, contracts, and resources required to support trade shows, conferences, and channel events from start to finish according to requirements
  • Project manage event timelines and tasks in the marketing team's project management tool, Asana
  • Make suggestions to enhance event’s success (i.e. virtual platform, location, ideal speakers, etc.) in collaboration with supporting team members or vendors
  • Prepare event budgets and manage each event in adherence to the budget all while sourcing and negotiation contracts with vendors and suppliers
  • Understand needs of channel partners and internal channel marketing team to develop marketing programs, manage on-site event logistics, and create channel marketing content
  • Hire personnel as necessary (DMC, entertainment, AV, etc.)
  • Own the logistics of promotional materials for events by partnering with the Brand & Creative leader and external vendors to design and order swag and other promotional items
  • Supervise all contracted staff – if applicable (event coordinators, caterers etc.)
  • Conduct event walkthroughs virtual and onsite as needed to approve before the day of the event
  • Resolve any challenges, issues, or problems that may impact a successful and smooth event
  • Create a running folder on all event content such as decks, panel questions, presentations, etc
  • Analyze the event’s success and prepare reports and perform other marketing duties as assigned

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Effective project management skills and knowledge of data analytics, including tracking KPIs
  • Knowledge of marketing techniques for event management and contracts, budgeting etc
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to tailor communications to the appropriate audience
  • Effective negotiation, organizational and strong problem-solving skills
  • Customer-service orientation and a team player with leadership skills
  • Out-of-the-Box, creative thinker that pushes the status quo on how to run a high performing physical event
