We're looking for a Marketing Email Manager / Email Marketing Specialist with a strong experience in planning and implementing email campaigns, the co-management of databases, creating engaging newsletters, and analyzing campaign performance. Their goal is to effectively reach the target audience, promote the brand, and drive customer engagement and sales through email communication.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to stay up to date with the latest consumer and email marketing trends.
- Conceptualize, plan, execute, and optimize email marketing campaigns, that speak directly to the pain points of existing and prospective customers, to support the go-to-market strategy.
- Identify innovative ways to expand the opt-in strategy and grow the company’s email lists with quality leads.
- Develop new lead magnets (videos, infographics, slides, microsites, etc.) independent of content produced for other marketing channels.
- Craft well-written, engaging copy that supports lead generation.
- Proofread emails for clarity, grammar, and spelling.
- Develop and maintain an email marketing calendar to ensure a consistent cadence of marketing activity.
- Distribute emails through the use of automation software.
- Ensure mobile-friendly email templates.
- Analyze campaign performance to determine areas of strength and weakness, and suggest improvements that could inform subsequent outputs.
- Upgrade email templates using graphics, A/B split testing, personalization, and advanced features.
- Collaborate with graphic designers to improve the appearance layout of outputs.
- Ensure emails follow industry best practices and uphold brand positioning.
- Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders for events, partner collaborations, launches, etc.
- Ensure the email marketing performance is always aligned with OKRs and broader business goals.
- Ensure the data hygiene of email lists is maintained at all times.
- Maintain broad knowledge of company capabilities versus the strengths/weaknesses of competitive products.
- Assist with sales communications where needed.
Required Skills:
- BSc degree in Marketing or relevant field.
- 3-5 years experience in email marketing within the B2B SaaS industry (experience in retail will be advantageous but not necessary).
- Hands-on experience with HTML and CMS.
- Proficiency in marketing automation technology such as Pardot or Marketo.
- Knowledge of SEO/SEM and Google Analytics.
- Familiarity with analytical and database tools.
- Familiarity with SFDC.
- Drive, ingenuity, and gumption.
- Ability to recognize future roadblocks, challenges, and solutions
- Be able to keep a handle on everything going on within the email marketing portfolio.
- Assist with general content development where needed.
- An ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Outstanding copywriting and copyediting abilities.
- Ability to harness collaboration to produce well-crafted content.
- Ability to create high-impact, unique marketing campaigns.
- Excellent project management and time management skills specific to marketing.
- Ability to glean insights and develop recommendations based on email marketing data.
