Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.

We want you as a talented AIT intern to help us in our mission by supporting the bonding of the thermal protection on our demonstrator capsule

You will be successful in this role if you are able to help us:

• Supporting the Active Control System test and setup

• Designing the 3D setup

• Defining the test sequence

• Procuring parts for the test

• Procedures writing

Tasks:

Your role will be continuously evolving, but day to day your duties will include:

• You will have ownership of the Active Thermal Control System (ATCS) test bench CAD model

• You will be supporting in preparing engineering drawings for manufacture of test bench components

• You will be supporting the procurement of tools not already defined

• You will be supporting the writing of the procedures detailing the test operations

• You may have to support the team to write other mechanical procedures for structure assembly or test setups

• You will be responsible to improve the processes and procedure with the lessons learns of the previous operations

• You may have to support the team in other factory setup as we are a growing company, the perimeter can evolve along the mission.

What we would love to see from you:

• Engineering degree (Master or PhD) in mechanical science or equivalent

• Experience with CAD software preferably with Siemens NX

• Experience with fluidic/harness routing in Siemens NX a strong plus

• Experience in creating manufacturing drawings

• Willingness to contribute to build and support a new team

• Independent, organised and rigorous
