Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.

As a talented PQM Test Bench Development Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, contributing to building, commissioning and contributing to the operation the Propulsion Qualification Model to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of the propulsion system of Nyx.

Key responsibilities:

• Leading the design of the Propulsion Qualification Model, ensuring that the PQM can perform all functional validations needed to certify the propulsion system of the Nyx Earth capsule.

• Working hand in hand with the AIT team to contribute to the building of the Propulsion Qualification Model.

• Working hand in hand with the Propulsion, the System Engineering, and the Avionics teams, to ensure that the PQM meets the functional test requirements.

• Defining specifications and requirements for the PQM components and leading the selection of these components.

What we would love to see from you:

• Minimum of a B.S. in Aerospace (Advanced degree preferred).

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in designing, building, and operating test benches, preferably in the aerospace or spacecraft sector.

• Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics, structural analysis, and thermal dynamics as applied to test bench and spacecraft hardware validation.

• Knowledge of CAD software (preferably NX/TeamCenter), as well as familiarity with data acquisition and control systems.

• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for spacecraft testing, including ECSS, NASA, or ISO guidelines.

• A proactive problem-solving approach, with strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across teams.

• Fluency in English.
