Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.
We want you as a talented RAMS Senior Engineer to help us in our mission by owning and conducting comprehensive reliability, availability, maintainability and safety analyses for Nyx Earth. Your primary focus will be to ensure that the spacecraft's design and operations meet stringent RAMS standards as defined by international regulations and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
In your capacity as a RAMS Senior Engineer, your role will be continuously evolving, but day to day your duties will include:
Perform reliability goal setting.
Perform reliability allocation analysis by assigning reliability targets to each equipment and communicate them to the stakeholders.
Perform Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) at the system level.
Perform reliability block diagrams (RBDs)
Perform reliability prediction for internally developed equipment.
Perform reliability growth associated with internally developed equipment, including supervision of reliability tests.
Perform availability assessment for critical mission phases.
Perform maintainability analyses.
Perform qualitative fault tree analysis.

Perform Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA), including:
Perform common cause analysis including assessment of common mode, common cause and zonal mode failures.
Perform quantitative fault tree analysis.
Support part stress analysis on equipment developed internally.
Support vendor and supplier interactions with respect to reliability, availability and maintainability discussions.
Support equipment-level Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) by collaborating with the equipment developers.
Support generation and allocation of reliability, availability and maintainability requirements to all stakeholders.
Ensure design is compliant with the safety standards including NASA and ESA specifications.
What we would love to see from you
In the role of RAMS Senior Engineer ideally, you will have the following:
A higher education degree in system engineering, aerospace engineering, or another related field.
More than 5 years of experience in the related field, preferably in the aerospace industry.
Experience with reliability, availability and maintainability principles and analyses
Experience with reliability prediction models and methodologies (FIDES is a plus).
Experience with Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability toolkits, such as an Isograph.
Experience with performing probabilistic risk assessment, including fault tree and common cause analyses.
Fluency in English is required (French and German is a plus).
