Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.
Supports: Two U.S. entities, nationwide remote workforce, and liaison with European parent company
Summary
The Office Manager manages daily operations of the Houston office and provides comprehensive support to remote employees across the U.S. This hands-on role ensures smooth facilities operations, coordinates events and logistics, and supports two separate U.S. entities while maintaining clear and compliant processes, documentation, and financial activities. The role also acts as an operational and administrative liaison with the European parent company.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all Houston office operations, including facilities, workspace readiness, supplies, maintenance, equipment, mail, deliveries, and vendor coordination.
Serve as primary contact for building management, security, and emergency procedures.
Support onboarding and offboarding for onsite and remote employees (equipment shipping, access, documentation, scheduling), in collaboration with US IT Administrator and People Team
Plan and execute onsite and virtual meetings, events, and employee engagement activities.
Maintain strict separation between the two U.S. entities across all operational processes, purchasing, vendor contracts, billing, communication, and reporting.
Manage purchasing, invoices, and budget tracking with entity-specific accuracy.
Provide administrative and operational support to People Operations, Finance, IT, and Leadership as needed.
Proactively identify and resolve operational, facility, or logistical issues.
Qualifications
Required
3–5+ years of office management, operations, or facilities experience.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with excellent communication.
Ability to support and maintain processes for multiple legal entities.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and common business tools.
Onsite daily presence in Houston and willingness to handle a broad range of tasks.
Preferred (Not Required)
Experience with government contracting or NASA-related environments.
Familiarity with the commercial space or aerospace industry.
