Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.

We are looking for a motivated Working Student- IT Operations to join our team in Germany and help us keep our operations running smoothly, so that our engineers and teams can focus on what they do best: building the future of space transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

As an IT Working Student, you'll be hands-on from day one. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Be the first point of contact for your colleagues when they need IT help : troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

  • Support onboarding and offboarding of team members: setting up devices, creating accounts, and making sure everyone has what they need to hit the ground running.

  • Help manage and track our hardware inventory across our sites.

  • Assist in maintaining our local networks to ensure reliable connectivity.

  • Support the team in managing our Microsoft 365 environment (user accounts, licenses, etc.).

  • Collaborate with a central IT team and contribute to ongoing improvement projects.

What we'd love to see from you

No prior professional experience required : we're looking for curiosity, reliability, and a passion for solving problems. Ideally, you bring:

  • A genuine interest in IT and how technology enables great teams to work.

  • Good problem-solving instincts : you enjoy figuring things out and finding solutions.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks without dropping the ball.

  • Good communication skills : you're comfortable asking questions and explaining things clearly to non-technical colleagues.

  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required; German is a plus.

  • Some familiarity with Windows or macOS environments (even from personal use) is a plus

Why you should join us!

What makes us special here at The Exploration Company and why we think you will enjoy working here is:

  • We’re Agile - we make decisions fast whilst keeping our goals and systems in mind

  • We’re Open and Collaborative - we are transparent about risks and obstacles, so that we can cooperate to overcome them

  • We have a lot of Fun - we refuel our energy knowing we are democratising space. It’s a wonderful and rare opportunity, are YOU up for the challenge?

We'd love to hear from you if you wish to be a part of our journey. Please submit your CV now for immediate consideration and we will be in touch shortly.
