ABOUT THE ROLE
Do you want to transform healthcare for chronic conditions like diabetes and obesity? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment where you use strategic storytelling to win deals that result in expanded healthcare access for millions of people?
Vida’s B2B Marketing team is looking for a B2B Marketing, Sales Enablement Lead to partner with Vida’s sales team to showcase Vida’s value to employers, health plans, benefits consultants, and other enterprise buyers of virtual healthcare solutions. You will create customized content that engages each prospective customer and wins deals.
As the go-to marketing strategist for Vida’s Sales teams, you will bring marketing’s strengths to Sales deliverables, using account-based-marketing (ABM) principles and product expertise to drive conversion of business-to-business (B2B) deals. You will develop a deep understanding of the sales pipeline and design strategies to energize middle and bottom-of-funnel opportunities, accelerate deal velocity, and raise conversion rates.
As an exceptional collaborator, listener, and communicator, you will win the trust of Sales, Marketing, and Product teams through sharp intuition for who B2B prospects are and what they want, curiosity and deep listening to understand the nuances of each individual deal, expertise in Vida’s products, and ability to communicate their value in ways that resonate with each prospective account.
You will need to thrive under pressure, manage time efficiently, and rally internal teams to meet tight deadlines with high-quality deliverables.
This is an individual contributor role.

TASK BREAKDOWN

  • Deck creation/customization for individual presentations and larger pitch refresh/overhauls:20%
  • One pager and other sales content creation/customization:20%
  • Product demo creation/customizations for presentations and VIP trial experiences:20%
  • Sales Resource/Content library maintenance and updates:15%
  • Direct Sales Team and Partner Sales Team training development, execution, and certification:15%
  • Pipeline conversion KPI management: Monitor, diagnose, and improve stage to stage deal conversion, win/loss rate, velocity: 10%
  • Ad-hoc support for market intelligence projects

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop deep understanding of and empathy for Vida’s B2B customer segments and personas, including: employers and benefits leaders, benefits consultants, health plan leaders, and others
  • Build expertise in Vida’s products, positioning and messaging, and sales pipeline
  • Become a trusted partner of Vida’s Sales team and our external Partners’ sales teams, understanding what they need to move and close each opportunity in the pipeline
  • Use account-based-marketing principles to create customized sales content and decks, including on technical topics related to clinical and financial outcomes, to help Sales tell the right story for each opportunity
  • Create custom product demonstrations (demos) that walk through example in-app experiences, in partnership with Product and Design teams
  • Track and project-manage customized deliverables for each sales opportunity, ensuring they meet needs and deadlines
  • Distill market learnings and insights into recommendations for Marketing and Product teams, drawing from sales discussions, prospect feedback, pipeline analytics, and win/loss analyses

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Functional experience: 5-8 years experience in product marketing, sales enablement, sales marketing, sales, or similar functions focused on enabling B2B sales teams
  • Industry knowledge: 2-7 years experience in healthcare, technology, software as service (SaaS) technology, products/services designed for employers and health plans, or in management consulting
  • Skills in writing medium-form content and sales presentation slide creation; especially in ways that distill complex concepts (such as clinical outcomes, statistics) in simple, engaging language and visuals
  • Strong listening skills, curiosity, empathy, and intuition for the needs of different types of B2B personas as well as internal stakeholders
  • Experience effectively partnering with Marketing, Sales, and Product, taking feedback in stride and transmuting many different points of view into informed direction that wins consensus and buy-in
  • Scrappy, execution-driven, self-starting spirit; comfort owning and delivering projects with tight deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Process-oriented mindset: ability to create and enforce efficient processes to get more done faster, and get others to follow them
  • Ability to effectively partner with Brand / Design teams, who will do the bulk of design work, to bring your outlines of pieces to life
  • Bachelors’ Degree

BONUS SKILLS

  • Previous startup experience
  • Deep understanding of the healthcare benefits industry and/or the healthcare buyer market, including employers, benefits consultants, health plans
  • Understanding of Sales teams and experience partnering with them on shared goals
  • Understanding of the Partners ecosystem in the healthcare benefits space, including: resellers, cosellers, benefits consultants, TPAs, ASOs, PBMs, Aggregators, etc
  • B2B sales experience
  • Creative and resourceful, able to come up with out-of-the-box ideas and bring them to life
  • Ability to analyze and distill insights from the sales pipeline and other sources to bring in market feedback that influences future Marketing and Product plans
  • Management consulting experience
  • MBA
